Hallelujah – TCC2’s first Messiah a rousing success

Singing something as well known as Handel’s Messiah for the first time is an experience that most people will remember for ever. At Thame Choral Society’s Golden Anniversary performance last Saturday night in a packed St Mary’s Church, TCC2: Thame Children’s Choir took part in their first Messiah performance – a resounding success all round.

TCC2’s newest and youngest member (Josh Driscoll-Morris, aged 7) joined in all the choir solos and choruses with great confidence supported by the older TCC2 members. The audience was greatly impressed with the TCC2 solos of ‘He was despised’, ‘He shall lead his flock’ and ‘ How beautiful are the feet’ – solos which are usually sung by adults – there was a tear in the eyes of several audience members.
